Industry Applications

Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering
A robust core, safeguarding your voyage.

Ships and offshore structures have extremely stringent requirements for strength, impact resistance, and corrosion resistance, with their internal quality directly determining navigational safety and service life. RAYSOV offers comprehensive radiographic inspection systems—ranging from portable to fixed‑type and from 160 kV to 15 MeV—providing in-depth testing capabilities for a wide variety of vessels and marine engineering equipment.

  • Hull Welded Structure:

Large‑area, rapid digital radiographic inspection is performed on butt, T‑joint, and corner welds of high‑strength marine steel plates to detect defects such as cracks, lack of fusion, and undercut.

  • Marine Power System:

Inspect the internal quality of cast and forged components such as diesel engine cylinder heads, crankshafts, turbocharger housings, and propeller hubs; analyze metallurgical defects in forgings used in ship shafting and rudder systems.

  • Shipboard Pressure Vessels and Piping:

Inspect the weld quality of the LNG vessel’s cargo tank containment system, high-voltage air bottles, and hydraulic and fuel pipelines to ensure long-term safe operation under conditions of rolling and impact.

  • Composite superstructure:

Scan for delamination, debonding, and core material defects in fiberglass/carbon fiber composite hulls and superstructures.

  • Offshore Engineering Equipment and Special Structures:

It covers internal quality inspection of critical components on offshore drilling platforms, subsea pipelines, mooring chains, and various specialized structural parts.

RAYSOV leverages its proprietary metal‑ceramic X‑ray tubes, portable high‑frequency X‑ray machines, and high‑energy accelerator systems to flexibly accommodate diverse operational environments—such as shipyard workshops, quay outfitting, and offshore platforms—providing a reliable, one‑stop nondestructive testing solution for the shipbuilding and marine engineering sectors.
