Overview

The ZXF P‑type X‑ray digital radiography (DR) inspection system is an online, high‑precision digital imaging solution specifically designed for X‑ray nondestructive testing of circumferential and longitudinal welds on various types of gas and steel cylinders, including fire‑extinguishing cylinders and industrial gas cylinders. The system employs a through‑pass conveyor‑based inspection approach, enabling seamless integration with the customer’s conveying line to achieve fully automated in‑line inspection—automated cylinder loading and unloading, automatic lifting, automatic rotation, and automatic scanning. In terms of imaging, the system is equipped with a high‑resolution digital detector and leverages the patented Raylion image‑enhancement filtering technology, allowing clear identification of weld defects such as porosity, slag inclusions, and incomplete penetration. The mechanical architecture features a modular, co‑ordinated design that separates the imager assembly from the X‑ray source assembly, supporting multi‑axis motion—including X‑axis translation, Z‑axis elevation, and X‑ray source deflection—and, combined with 360° cylinder rotation, delivers comprehensive, dead‑zone‑free coverage of both circumferential and longitudinal welds.

Core Features and Advantages of the Product

The solution is deeply aligned with the standards.

Features: RAYSOV X-ray participated in the revision and development of the national standard “X-ray Digital Imaging Inspection of Butt Welds on Gas Cylinders” and has provided intelligent gas cylinder inspection solutions to numerous domestic manufacturers of gas cylinders and steel cylinders. X-ray digital imaging inspection system.

Advantages: Deep involvement in standard-setting ensures that RAYSOV possesses an authoritative understanding of the process requirements, flaw‑evaluation criteria, and acceptance specifications for cylinder inspection. Its design and configuration are fully aligned with both domestic and international standards. After procurement, customers can rest assured about compliance, enjoy a smoother acceptance process, and benefit from test results that carry greater credibility.

Through‑type assembly line design, seamlessly integrated with the production line.

Features: The system employs a through‑type conveyor‑belt inspection process, with automated lead doors at the infeed and outfeed stations paired with steel roller conveyors. Cylinder bottles are automatically conveyed along the loading line into the lead‑lined chamber and, upon completion of inspection, are automatically discharged. The inspection fixture conveyor can be directly integrated with the purchaser’s existing conveyor line.

Advantages: No manual loading or unloading is required; cylinders flow continuously and automatically in and out, seamlessly integrated with the cylinder production line. After the lifting mechanism raises the cylinder for inspection, the downstream conveyor can simultaneously handle the next one. Workpieces are held in a waiting position, significantly boosting inspection efficiency and enabling continuous online inspection of batches of gas cylinders.

Automatic lifting of the gas cylinder combined with rotating friction rollers ensures full circumferential coverage of the weld seam.

Features: The conveyor utilizes steel roller conveyance, and the inspection station is equipped with a pneumatic lifting mechanism. After lifting, an electric motor drives a friction roller made of soft material to rotate the gas cylinder at a uniform speed through 360°, ensuring both conveying and rotational speeds. Adjustable in all degrees.

Advantages: The lifting‑and‑support design detaches the gas cylinders from the conveyor line during inspection, thereby preventing conveyor vibrations from degrading image quality. Soft friction rollers ensure gentle contact without damaging the cylinder surface, and their rotational speed is adjustable to accommodate various inspection requirements. Timing requirements: Continuous 360° rotation, combined with either a fixed or translated X-ray source, enables full‑circumferential, dead‑zone‑free imaging of the circumferential weld.

Raylion image enhancement filtering, with complex defects clearly distinguishable.

Features: Raylion’s image‑filtering feature, which integrates RAYSOV’s patented technology, supports dual‑scene image enhancement for both dynamic and static conditions.

Advantages: After intelligent enhancement, the defect features in cylinder welds—such as porosity, slag inclusions, and incomplete penetration—are rendered with sharper boundaries, thereby reducing operator visual fatigue and the rate of misjudgment. Sensitivity has improved by 0.6%–0.8%. In practical inspections, this means that even the smallest defects can be detected, helping cylinder manufacturers achieve higher‑quality control.
